With the advancements in the medical field in recent years; genetic tests have become essential for determining risk factors, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prognosis of many diseases.
Istanbul Medipol University Genetic Diseases Evaluation Center; started operations in 2016 using the available laboratory infrastructure and new technological equipment. Our center, which has rapidly expanded its capacity in both the number and variety of tests, serves to provide fast and reliable patient results to Medipol Heath Group’s own hospitals and carries the mission of being a reference laboratory for genetic tests that cannot be performed elsewhere in Turkey.
Our laboratory closely follows developments in its field, offering new tests to patients and physicians, while also providing scientific consultancy. In addition to routine work, it contributes to the completion of many scientific research projects. Also, by providing services to patients from various countries, it offers hope to patients while also contributing to our country’s economy.
It continues to operate as a Genetics Disease Evaluation Center licensed by the Ministry of Health, performing all genetic tests including newborn genetic screening, carrier screening, single-gene disorders, metabolic diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and pharmacogenetics.
