Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevper Ersöz was born in Bursa in 1981. He completed his pre-university education in Balıkesir. He graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2006 and completed his residency training in Urology at Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, qualifying as a Urology Specialist.
During his residency training in 2011, he spent time at the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan in the USA, where he gained clinical experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, and endourology.
After completing his mandatory service as a Urology Specialist at Şırnak İdil State Hospital in 2014, he worked as a Urology Specialist at Giresun Dr. A. İlhan Özdemir State Hospital from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, he joined the Department of Urology at Bezmialem Vakıf University as a faculty member. In 2021, he earned the title of FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) after successfully passing the European Board of Urology examination. He was appointed Associate Professor at the same institution in 2023 and continued his academic and clinical activities there until 2024.
He currently continues his clinical and academic practice at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital and Istanbul Medipol University. In 2025, he visited Westmoreland Street Hospital (UCL, London) as an observer in advanced robotic surgery for urologic oncology.
Throughout his career, from his residency training through his post-specialization practice, he has focused particularly on urologic oncology and endoscopic surgery. He has performed more than 10,000 procedures using laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgical techniques. He has extensive clinical and surgical experience in the treatment of prostate cancer, including robotic and open surgery; kidney and ureteral tumors, using robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgical techniques; and bladder cancer, ranging from endoscopic procedures for early-stage disease to radical surgery for advanced disease. He also has experience in the treatment of testicular cancer at all stages. His areas of interest additionally include the management of prostate diseases and endourological procedures, including surgery for kidney stones.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevper Ersöz has authored more than 40 scientific articles and over 10 book chapters and reviews published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His publications have received more than 1,600 citations in the international scientific literature.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevper Ersöz continues his clinical, academic, and educational activities at both national and international levels, with a consistent focus on achieving successful patient outcomes and ensuring patient satisfaction.
