Assoc. Prof. Dr. FUNDA DİKKAYA

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Dikkaya was born in Istanbul in 1985. She graduated as the top of her class from the English Medicine Program of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2009. She completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at the same institution in 2014. During her residency, she worked as an observer at Lahey Clinic in Boston.

After completing her mandatory service, she has been working at Istanbul Medipol University, Medipol Mega University Hospital since 2015. She continued her academic career at the same institution and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2020.

She successfully passed the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) exam in 2017, completed the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Subspecialty exam in 2019, and passed the European Board of Ophthalmology Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus exam in 2025.

She has authored more than 45 scientific publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals, which have received over 250 citations.

She is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association and an active member of its Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Unit.

She provides diagnostic and treatment services for strabismus, double vision, amblyopia, and myopia management in both pediatric and adult patients.
