Assoc. Prof. Muhammet Arif Özbek, MD was born in Munich in 1988. After completing his primary and secondary education in Kırıkkale, he graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2011. He began his professional life as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Kayseri 112 between 2012 and 2013.
Specialization and Academic Career
Having completed his Neurosurgery residency at Medipol University in 2018, Assoc. Prof. Özbek presented his specialty thesis, carried out at the Medipol Anatomy Laboratory, titled ""The Endoscopic Trans-Sinoidal Trans-Pterygopalatine Route To The Foramen Rotundum Approach In Trigeminal Neuralgia"". This successful study was awarded the **""Aysima Altınok Specialty Thesis Award""** by the Turkish Neurosurgical Society.
Having fulfilled his compulsory state service at Ağrı State Hospital and Haseki Training and Research Hospital, Özbek joined the academic staff of Medipol University Hospital as an Assistant Professor in 2021, and earned the title of Associate Professor in 2023.
