Highlights
Asst. Prof. Abdulkadir Eren, MD was born in Istanbul in 1983. After completing his high school education at Çapa Anatolian Teacher Training High School, he completed his medical education at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and his radiology specialization at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology in 2013, and received the title of Radiology Specialist.
He completed his specialization thesis on ""MRI-Guided Vacuum Biopsies in the Breast"" with support from the university's Scientific Research Projects program (BAP). During his residency, he expanded his vision internationally, working as an observer physician at the Mallinckrodt Institute for Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and successfully passed the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) Step 1 exam.
Following his specialization, he completed his compulsory service at Mardin Kızıltepe State Hospital. Since 2014, she has been continuing her studies specifically in Breast Radiology at Medipol Mega University Hospitals Complex, which has JCI accreditation. Eren, MD also contributes to academic education by teaching courses in the Faculty of Medicine and the Radiology Technician departments of the university.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has specialized in breast imaging modalities such as ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound), tomosynthesis, and MRI; conducts technical research in artificial intelligence, deep learning, and radiomics; and participates in multidisciplinary radiopathological projects. As a result of his successful work in the field of artificial intelligence, he was awarded the Second Prize in the ""Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare"" competition held at Teknofest in 2023. In line with this vision, he actively contributes to international scientific collaborations by serving as a researcher / participant within the framework of the European Union-supported CHAIMELEON Project.
