Highlights

Asst. Prof. Ahmet Aydın, MD, was born in 1981 in Gölcük. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2006. He completed his Internal Medicine specialization at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, earning the title of Internal Medicine Specialist. He successfully passed the optional Turkish Board of Internal Medicine exam in 2011.

Following his specialist training, he worked at Gümüşhane State Hospital between 2012–2013, at Bayrampaşa State Hospital between 2013–2021, and at Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital between 2020–2022.

Since 2022, he has been working as an Internal Medicine Specialist and Assistant Professor at Medipol Mega University Hospital.

Dr. Aydın’s academic research focuses particularly on obesity, fatty liver disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and metabolic disorders in cancer patients. Actively working in the field of bone health and osteoporosis, he serves as Coordinator of the Osteoporosis Working Group of the Association of Internal Medicine Specialists and as a member of the Liver Working Group.

He has authored 21 international and 6 national peer-reviewed scientific articles, 4 book chapters, and has presented at 18 national congresses as well as serving as an invited speaker at national conferences. Dr. Aydın is a member of the Turkish Society of Internal Medicine Specialists and the Association of Internal Medicine Specialists.
