Asst. Prof. Dr. ATIF TEKİN

Born in Diyarbakır in 1984, Atıf Tekin graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2008, having been admitted in 2002 as the 22nd ranked student in Turkey. He then completed his general surgery residency training at Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery. He successfully passed the Turkish Surgical Qualification Examination, earning the Turkish Surgical Qualification Certificate. He dedicatedly fulfilled his compulsory service in an earthquake zone, performing over 400 surgical interventions and hundreds of endoscopic procedures. During this time, he continued his academic development and qualified for subspecialty training in Gastroenterology Surgery at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. In September 2024, he returned to Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, as a faculty member. Dr. Tekin is a member of prestigious national and international organizations such as the Turkish Surgical Society (Türkcer) and the European Society of Coloroprocology (ESCP), and currently serves as the International Medical Faculty Education Coordinator at Medipol University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Tekin, whose work is available in many national and international journals, is married and has one daughter.
