Highlights
Aysel Akhundova, MD was born in Baku in 1984. She completed her medical education at Azerbaijan Medical University in 2007 and qualified to begin her cardiology specialization training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiology in Istanbul in 2009. In 2014, she completed her medical specialization thesis entitled ""Evaluation of Left Ventricular Function at Rest and After Stress in Patients with Atherosclerotic Aortic Valve Diseases using Transthoracic Echocardiography,"" and became a cardiology specialist. After graduation, she worked as a cardiology specialist in various private hospitals, focusing on both invasive and non-invasive cardiology treatment methods and performing several successful complex angiographic procedures. Since July 2022, she has continued her work as a cardiology specialist at Medipol Mega University Hospital. Here, she has continued her professional development, increased her experience by participating in numerous patient follow-ups and treatments and interventional procedures, and also continued her educational activities and scientific research within the Medipol University Faculty of Medicine. As a result of these efforts, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at our university in 2024.
Aysel Akhundova, MD aims to provide high-quality healthcare services by reflecting her academic knowledge and clinical experience in patient care, employing current and scientifically based treatment approaches.
