Asst. Prof. Dr. BARKIN YAVUZ

Asst. Prof.  BARKIN YAVUZ, MD was born in Burdur in 1988. After completing his medical education at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2013, he worked as a general practitioner at the Bayburt 112 Command and Control Center. Continuing his academic and clinical work at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Bursa Uludağ University, which he joined in 2016, he deepened his expertise in ear, nose and throat diseases; during this period, he took part in scientific research and closely followed current developments in his field. He completed his residency and became a specialist in 2021.

He completed his compulsory service at Siirt Training and Research Hospital between 2021 and 2023. In 2023, he started working as an Assistant Professor at Private Medipol Bahçelievler University Hospital, where he still continues to work.

Throughout his 5 years of residency and his entire career as a specialist, he has had a special interest in nasal and facial aesthetics. He successfully performs challenging and complex nasal surgeries involving severe deformities and functional impairment. He accepts patients from Türkiye and all over the world for primary rhinoplasty and, in particular, revision rhinoplasty operations. He believes that designing a unique nose for each patient is extremely important in rhinoplasty. He considers that revision rhinoplasty in particular requires substantial experience. Putting the patient's wishes first, he devotes long sessions to his patients before surgery to plan noses that are in harmony with their facial anatomy. He considers function to be as important as shape in nasal surgery and performs his operations based on these principles, with a functional-aesthetic approach. He believes that the dynamics of female and male rhinoplasty are different. He emphasizes the importance of achieving natural results that suit the face in male patients. To date, he has provided international healthcare services in revision rhinoplasty, primary rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic surgery to many patients from various countries around the world. For the overall beauty of the face, in addition to rhinoplasty, he performs eyelid aesthetics, endoscopic brow lift, mid-face lift, bichectomy, lip lift and prominent ear (otoplasty) surgeries, either in combination or alone. Apart from aesthetic surgeries, he also performs other operations in the field of otorhinolaryngology. He performs head and neck surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, microscopic ear surgery and surgeries for pediatric patients.
