"Dr. Dilara Ekici, MD, is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with clinical and academic expertise in musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, neurological rehabilitation, and interventional pain management.

She received her medical degree from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and completed her residency training at the Istanbul Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital, where she earned her board certification as a Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

During and after her residency, Dr. Ekici served at Edirne State Hospital, Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital, Kastamonu Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital, and the Medipol University Esenler Health Application and Research Center. In her clinical practice, she evaluates and treats patients with low back and neck pain, spine- and joint-related disorders, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, osteoarthritis, spasticity, and pediatric and neurological rehabilitation conditions.Her areas of special interest include musculoskeletal injections, ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, prolotherapy, and ozone therapy, as well as the integration of exercise, rehabilitation, and patient-reported outcome measures into clinical decision-making. Her clinical approach is based on evidence-based medicine, with a primary focus on functional recovery, pain management, and improving patients' quality of life.

Academically, Dr. Ekici conducts research on chronic shoulder and neck pain, fibromyalgia, spasticity, complex regional pain syndrome, physical therapy modalities, osteoarthritis, prolotherapy, and artificial intelligence–supported health information and clinical decision support. She has authored and co-authored studies published or currently under review in SCI/SCI-E and other internationally indexed journals, has presented her work at national and international scientific meetings, and participates in multidisciplinary research projects.Dr. Ekici currently practices as a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medipol University Esenler Health Application and Research Center. She is committed to delivering patient-centered, scientifically grounded care by integrating her academic expertise, interventional pain management experience, and rehabilitation practice with the latest evidence-based approaches.

By integrating her international clinical experience in Cologne, Germany, with academic productivity and evidence-based rehabilitation approaches, she is developing an academic profile that promotes both national and international research collaborations.
