Asst. Prof. Duygu Işıl Gencer, MD was born in 1977. She completed her medical education at Marmara University (English program) Faculty of Medicine in 2001.
After graduation, she completed her Radiology specialization training at the Health Sciences University Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital Radiology Clinic between 2002-2004, and then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology specialization training at the Health Sciences University Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic between 2004-2009, thus obtaining the title of Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist.
She completed her specialization thesis with a study titled ""Evaluation of the Diagnostic Accuracy of Hysterosalpingography Compared to Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy in Infertile Women"". Following her specialization training, she worked at Mardin Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar State Hospital, Bağcılar Private Safa Hospital, and Private Şişli Memorial Hospital.
Gencer, MD, who has been continuing her academic and clinical work at Medipol Mega University Hospital since 2014, serves as an Assistant Professor and conducts patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment processes in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Gencer, MD, has participated in more than 150 national and international congresses, courses, and meetings in the field of gynecology and obstetrics, and has numerous articles, papers, and book chapters published and presented in high-level scientific journals and conferences.
Gencer, MD, focuses her scientific studies on women's health and obstetrics, gynecological laparoscopic surgery, female genital aesthetics, urinary incontinence treatment, and TOT surgery. Combining current scientific data with her clinical experience, she provides her patients with personalized, evidence-based, up-to-date diagnostic and treatment approaches, offering internationally recognized healthcare services.

She continues her professional and academic development in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology by regularly attending national and international congresses, courses, and symposiums. She has received advanced training, particularly in endoscopic surgery, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and obstetric ultrasonography. In addition, she has participated in training programs on water birth and water birth practices, neonatal resuscitation, and obstetric emergency approaches.
Gencer, MD, who received specialized training in cosmetic gynecology and genital aesthetic surgery, has also participated in training and practical programs on genital aesthetic surgery procedures, as well as genital fillers, PRP, exosomes, and genital laser applications.
In the fields of urogynecology and pelvic floor surgery, she has received advanced training in urinary incontinence, TOT surgery, pelvic floor anatomy, and pelvic organ prolapse surgery. She has also enhanced her knowledge and clinical experience in these areas by participating in current training programs on colposcopy, menopause management and counseling, current treatment approaches in menopause, and menopause and osteoporosis.
