"Dr. Haşim Gencer, MD, Associate Professor, was born in Kütahya in 1984. He completed his medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English Program) in 2009 and completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital in 2014, earning the title of Specialist in Pediatrics. His residency thesis focused on the relationship between iron deficiency anemia and zinc deficiency in children with febrile seizures.
Following his specialization, Dr. Gencer worked as a Pediatrician at Esenler Maternity and Children’s Hospital. Subsequently, he joined Istanbul Medipol University Esenler Hospital in 2015. As of April 2026, he has been appointed as a faculty member and has delivered various courses at the Faculty of Medicine and the International Faculty of Medicine, contributing to the education and training of numerous future physicians.
Dr. Gencer provides outpatient clinical care in areas including well-child follow-up, neonatal jaundice, vaccination and the development of individualized vaccination schedules, childhood infectious diseases with rash, respiratory tract diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, urinary system diseases, teething-related concerns, and the diagnosis and follow-up of infantile colic. He also provides guidance to families on urgent pediatric conditions such as febrile seizures, fever management, croup, and asthma attacks, including their diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Haşim Gencer has numerous scientific publications and presentations in national and international journals and scientific meetings. His native-level proficiency in English enables him to closely follow current scientific developments in his field and incorporate up-to-date knowledge into his clinical practice for the benefit of his patients.
By combining his academic expertise and extensive clinical experience in Pediatrics with current, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment approaches, Dr. Gencer aims to provide internationally recognized standards of healthcare to children and their families.
