Highlights
Assistant Professor Hatice Betigül Meral completed her medical education at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2018. She earned the title of Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation after completing her residency training in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine from 2019 to 2023.
Following her specialization, she fulfilled her mandatory service obligation as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist at Osmaniye Bahçe State Hospital from 2023 to 2024. Subsequently, she returned to Istanbul Medipol University to pursue her academic and clinical career, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine. She currently practices in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Medipol Mega University Hospital, where she continues her clinical and academic activities.
Dr. Meral’s scientific work encompasses various areas of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, particularly musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, central sensitization, lipedema, sarcopenia, neurorehabilitation, functionality, and quality of life. She also conducts research on musculoskeletal ultrasonography and psychosocial factors associated with chronic pain.
