Asst. Prof. Dr. LEYLA TELHAN

She completed her medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 1985 and 1991. After graduation, she worked as a general practitioner at the Ministry of Health Bolu Gerede Central Health Center between 1991 and 1993. She completed her Pediatrics specialty training at the Pediatrics Clinic of İzmir Dr. Behçet Uz Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Diseases Hospital between 1993 and 1997. Between 1998 and 2009, she worked as a Pediatrics Specialist at the Pediatrics Clinic of Istanbul Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital. In 2009-2010, she completed a rotation at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine to receive training in the monitoring of critically ill children and intensive care services. In 2010, she established the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Pediatrics Clinic of the Ministry of Health Istanbul Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital and served as head of the unit until 2015. Since February 2015, she has continued her professional life at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Istanbul Medipol University Mega Hospital as a Pediatrics specialist and Assistant Professor. She continues to contribute to the training of many resident physicians, interns and clerks, as well as other healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, dietitians and nurses.
