Asst. Prof. Dr. LEYLA TELHAN

Asst. Prof Leyla Telhan, MD was born in Istanbul in 1968, is married and has one daughter.

She completed her medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 1985 and 1991. After graduation, she worked as a general practitioner at the Ministry of Health Bolu Gerede Central Health Center between 1993 and 1991. She completed her pediatric specialization training at the Pediatric Clinic of İzmir Dr. Behçet Uz Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Health and Diseases Hospital between 1997 and 1993. She worked as a Pediatric Specialist at the Pediatric Clinic of Istanbul Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 1998 and 2009. Between 2009 and 2010, she undertook a rotation at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine to receive training in critical care and intensive care services for children. In 2010, she established the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital's Department of Child Health and Diseases, and served as the unit's head until 2015. Since February 2015, she has been working as a specialist in Child Health and Diseases and Assistant Professor in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Istanbul Medipol University Mega Hospital. She continues to contribute to the training of numerous resident doctors, intern doctors, and other healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, dieticians, and nurses.
