Highlights
Born in 1989, Surg. Onur Çetin MD completed the primary and secondary education in İzmir and graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School in 2007. He successfully graduated in 2013 from Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, where he began the medical education in 2007. In the same year, he began his residency training at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of SBÜ İzmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital, where he trained until 2019. During his training, he focused particularly on sports surgery and prosthetic surgery.
In current practice, he frequently deals with surgeries involving injuries to the knee's anterior cruciate ligament, collateral ligaments, and menisci; shoulder rotator cuff and dislocation injuries; and ankle talus avascular necrosis and ligament injuries. The management of these injuries particularly involving minimally invasive surgery and close monitoring falls within the scope of their practice.
Articles have been published in national and international scientific journals; case reports and translations have been produced; and contributions have been made as a chapter author to numerous national and international books. He has undertaken roles such as course director, invited speaker, and session chair at numerous courses, congresses, and meetings.
