Asst. Prof. Dr. RODİ ERTOĞRUL

Assistant Professor Rodi Ertoğrul is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopedics and traumatology, with a particular focus on shoulder and knee surgery, sports injuries, and arthroscopic surgery. He treats sports injuries and joint pathologies using modern surgical techniques and minimally invasive approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of joint disorders.

He completed his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and subsequently underwent his residency training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Health Sciences, Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital.

During his residency, he spent two months as a clinical and surgical observer at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in the United States, working alongside Prof. Dr. Eduardo A. Salvati and his team. During this period, he had the opportunity to closely observe surgical practices by participating in patient evaluations and surgical procedures related to arthroplasty.

To further enhance his expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery following his residency, he completed a fellowship program in shoulder and elbow surgery with Prof. Dr. Kerem Bilsel at Bezmialem Vakıf University, where he actively participated in the clinical and surgical management of shoulder and elbow pathologies.

Additionally, he participated in a clinical observership program at the Department of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Balgrist University Hospital in Switzerland, working with Prof. Dr. Karl Wieser and his team. There, he had the opportunity to observe advanced shoulder surgery techniques firsthand and participate in surgical procedures.

Since 2025, he has been affiliated with the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Medipol University. He continues his academic work as an Assistant Professor in the department and sees patients at Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital.

He has published scientific articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at scientific meetings. He is actively engaged in academic research in the fields of sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery. Additionally, he serves as a Board Member of the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery (TUSYAD).
