Asst. Prof. Dr. SÜMER MÜNEVVEROĞLU

Asst. Prof. Sümer Münevveroğlu MD was born in Istanbul in 1992. He began his dental education at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Dentistry in 2011 and graduated first in his faculty in 2016. In the same year, he was admitted to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Doctoral Program of the Istanbul Medipol University Institute of Health Sciences. In 2021, he completed his doctorate and received the title of ""Doctor (PhD)"" with his thesis on the symmetry analysis, based on computed tomography data, of natural head position, which is of critical importance in the diagnosis and treatment planning of dentofacial (teeth, jaw and face) deformities.

 During his doctoral training, he gained extensive clinical and academic experience in minor oral surgery procedures such as dental implantology, advanced implant surgery, impacted tooth operations and jaw cyst-tumor surgery, as well as in major surgical fields such as maxillofacial trauma, cleft lip and palate, and orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery). Since 2022, he has continued his academic and clinical activities as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Istanbul Medipol University.

 In his clinical practice, he focuses particularly on dental implants, orthognathic surgery, trauma surgery and jaw pathologies. Highly competent in 3D dentofacial deformity analysis and digital treatment planning, which are indispensable to modern surgical approaches, Münevveroğlu shares his knowledge in this field with his colleagues through the scientific training programs he organizes. In addition, in line with the importance he attaches to surgical documentation and visual quality, he developed a multidisciplinary vision by graduating with high honors from the Photography and Cameraman program of Anadolu University in 2025.

 Combining scientific productivity with innovation, Münevveroğlu holds a total of 5 patents, 2 of which are registered and 3 of which are in the registration process. He has 12 articles published in respected, high-impact international journals in the field, 1 national article and authorship of a book chapter. In addition to 28 oral presentations delivered at international congresses, he has brought his knowledge to academic platforms by participating as an invited speaker in numerous scientific events. He is a member of the Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (TAOMS) and the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society (AÇBİD)."
