Phase III, randomized, active-controlled (Pioglitazone) clinical study investigating the efficacy and safety of MK-0431A (a fixed-dose combination tablet containing Sitagliptin and Metformin) in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (as Sub-Investigator).
A 26-week, randomized, open-label, two-arm, parallel-group, treat-to-target clinical study (NN5401-3592) comparing the efficacy and safety of twice-daily soluble insulin analogue combination (SIAC) therapy, administered alone or in combination with metformin, DPP-4 inhibitor, and pioglitazone, versus twice-daily biphasic insulin aspart 30 (BIAsp) therapy in volunteers with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who failed to achieve adequate glycemic control with oral antidiabetic drugs (OADs) alone or in combination with once- or twice-daily premixed insulin or patient-prepared mixed insulin regimens (as Sub-Investigator).
