Ocular Microbiome Project within the SpaceX FRAM2 Mission
Mission: Assistant Researcher
SUMMARY
This project was developed as part of SpaceX's FRAM2 mission to investigate the effects of the space environment on the ocular surface microbiome. This study aims to contribute to understanding the microbial effects of space missions on eye health by examining the viability and behavior of microorganisms obtained from conjunctival swab samples under spaceflight conditions. The project aims to generate scientific knowledge for protecting ocular surface health in future long-duration human space missions.
