Clinical Psychologist SÜMEYRA AKÇİÇEK

Specialist Clinical Psychologist Sümeyra Akçiçek graduated from the Department of Psychology at Üsküdar University in 2018. In 2021, she completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Kent University. Between 2020 and 2021, she worked as a psychologist at the Bahçelievler Private Special Education and Rehabilitation Center. In November 2021, she started working as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist at Koşuyolu Medipol Hospital, and as of October 2024, she continues her practice at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital.

In her clinical practice, she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She has also received training in trauma and grief counseling, child assessment tests, analysis of children’s drawings, interviewing techniques with children and managing adjustment and behavioral problems, MMPI personality testing, MOXO attention test, and neuropsychological test assessment.

Her areas of interest include depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, illness anxiety disorder, conversion disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anger management issues, stress, and motivation.

As of October 2024, she also works at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) at Istanbul Medipol University as a neuropsychometric test practitioner, providing personalized psychotherapy support for psychiatric conditions accompanying Parkinson’s disease.
