Highlights
Surg. Onur Çetin, MD born in 1989, completed his primary and secondary education in İzmir and graduated from Bornova Anadolu High School in 2007. He began his medical education in 2007 at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine and graduated successfully in 2013. In the same year, he started his specialty training at SBÜ İzmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital, Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic, and continued his training there until 2019. During his training, he focused particularly on sports surgery and prosthetic surgery.
In current practice, he frequently deals with surgeries such as anterior cruciate ligament, collateral ligament and meniscus injuries of the knee, rotator cuff and shoulder dislocation injuries, talus avascular necrosis and ligament injuries of the ankle. Closed surgeries and close follow-ups of these injuries are especially among his areas of interest.
He has published articles in national and international scientific journals, presented case reports and translations, and contributed chapters in many national and international books. He has also served in leadership roles, invited speaker positions, and session chairmanships at numerous courses, congresses, and meetings.
