Prof. Ayşegül Akdoğan Gemici was born in Istanbul in 1983. She completed her medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and her radiology specialization at Health Sciences University Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in 2012.
Between 2013 and 2025, she worked as a Chief Assistant (2015) and Associate Professor (2021) in the field of breast radiology at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, Health Sciences University. During this period, she worked with a large patient group in the fields of screening and diagnosis of benign and malignant breast diseases, and played an active role as the head of breast radiology in the multidisciplinary oncology council. She also actively contributed to resident training and served as a supervisor in 4 thesis studies.
Prof. Ayşegül Akdoğan Gemici is a member of numerous national and international General Radiology and Breast Radiology societies and has published many presentations, articles, and book chapters in scientific journals and conferences.
Prof. Ayşegül Akdoğan Gemici received the title of Professor in the Department of Radiology at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine in 2026. Continuing her professional development through national and international scientific meetings, training programs, and certification processes, Prof. Ayşegül Akdoğan Gemici successfully passed the European Breast Radiology (EDBI) oral and written exams and earned the Certificate of Proficiency (2026).
Prof. Ayşegül Akdoğan Gemici aims to provide her patients with internationally recognized healthcare services in the field of Breast Radiology, leveraging her academic knowledge and clinical experience.
