Prof. Dr. BETÜL KILIÇ

Prof. Betül Kılıç MD was born in Istanbul in 1982. The patient completed the medical education at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine between 2000 and 2006 and graduated as the top student in the class.

 Between 2006 and 2012, the doctor completed the specialization training in the Department of Child Health and Diseases at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, becoming a Specialist in Child Health and Diseases.

 Following the specialist training, the doctor worked at Istanbul Arnavutköy State Hospital between 2012 and 2013.

 Between 2013 and 2016, the patient completed the subspecialty training in Pediatric Neurology at İnönü University Faculty of Medicine, earning the title of Pediatric Neurologist.

 Prof. Betül Kılıç MD, who worked as a Pediatric Neurology Specialist at Kocaeli Derince Training and Research Hospital between 2017 and 2019, has been continuing the academic and clinical work at the Pediatric Neurology Department of Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine Hospital since 2019.

 The patient earned the title of Associate Professor in Pediatric Neurology on April 15, 2020.

 Academic work has focused particularly on epilepsy and epileptic encephalopathies, neurogenetic diseases, neurometabolic diseases, migraine and headaches, cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, and rare neurological diseases of childhood.

 In 2024, the doctor supervised Yağmur Özkan's specialization thesis entitled ""Clinical and Etiological Evaluation of Children with Speech Disorders from the Perspective of Pediatric Neurology"" at Istanbul Medipol University.

 Prof. Betül Kılıç MD who speaks English, is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Neurology Association, the International Pediatric Neurology Association, the European Pediatric Neurology Association, the Asian and Oceanian Pediatric Neurology Association, the Turkish Medical Association, and the Istanbul Chamber of Physicians.

 Academic achievements include the 2000 MEF Inter-High School 9th ​​Research Projects Competition Project Award, being the top student in the class at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine, and the 23rd National Pediatric Neurology Congress Verbal Presentation Award. The doctor has received the National Pediatric Neurology Congress Verbal Presentation Award.
