Highlights
Prof. Fazlı Cem Gezen, MD was born in Istanbul in 1966. He completed his medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and his General Surgery specialization at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital in 2001, earning the title of General Surgery Specialist. His specialization thesis was on 'Medical and Surgical Treatment Approaches in Patients with Acute Cholecystitis'.
Following his specialization, he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital. Subsequently, in 2012, he completed a one-year research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Colorectal Surgery Department, one of the best clinics in the United States and received the title of Associate Professor in 2012. In 2013, he started working at the Department of General Surgery at Istanbul Medipol University and received the title of Professor of General Surgery in 2018.
Prof. Fazlı Cem Gezen, MD is a member of numerous national General Surgery societies and has over 250 presentations and articles published in high-level national and international scientific journals and conferences.
He currently continues his work in the General Surgery branch at Medipol Mega Hospital.
Prof. Fazlı Cem Gezen, MD aims to provide his patients with internationally recognized healthcare services by combining his academic knowledge and extensive clinical experience in General Surgery, and especially Breast Surgery, with current and scientifically based treatment approaches.
