Prof. Dr. DİLEK BENK ŞİLFELER

Prof. Dilek Benk Şilfeler, MD, graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, in 2001. After passing the Medical Specialization Examination, she was admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at Zeynep Kamil Training and Research Hospital, one of the most prestigious and well-established training institutions in Türkiye. Upon successfully completing her residency, she began her professional career as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006.

 Between 2006 and 2008, she worked as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Zeynep Kamil Training and Research Hospital, followed by a position at Batman Yaşam Hospital from 2009 to 2010.

 From 2010 to 2015, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Mustafa Kemal University Tayfur Sökmen Faculty of Medicine, where she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015. She continued her academic career as an Associate Professor at Mustafa Kemal University Tayfur Sökmen Faculty of Medicine from 2015 to 2016, at Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital from 2016 to 2017, and at Medipol University Faculty of Medicine from 2017 to 2020. She was appointed Professor at Medipol University Faculty of Medicine in 2021.

 Throughout her academic and professional career, Prof. Dilek Benk Şilfeler has actively contributed to the residency training of numerous physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has conducted numerous scientific studies published in national and international journals. She has participated as both a speaker and attendee in numerous national and international congresses, courses, and scientific meetings and has supervised numerous residency theses. She currently serves as Assistant Training Coordinator at Medipol University Faculty of Medicine.

 Prof. Dilek Benk Şilfeler believes that every patient has a unique story and therefore aims to develop a personalized diagnostic and treatment plan by evaluating each patient individually. Particularly during important periods such as pregnancy and childbirth, the process of starting a family for patients experiencing infertility, or decisions regarding surgical treatment, she strives to establish a trusting doctor-patient relationship. Her approach combines accurate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment planning with a clear understanding of each patient's concerns, transparent communication about available treatment options, and shared decision-making.
