Highlights
After completing her education at Kadıköy Anatolian High School, Prof. Funda Öztürk Bozkurt graduated from the Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. In 1997, she began doctoral studies at the Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment within the same university's Institute of Health Sciences. During the thesis phase, she spent time as a ""Visiting Assistant Scientist"" at the Oral Health Research Institute of Indianapolis University and obtained her doctorate in 2003 with a thesis titled ""Evaluation of the effectiveness of various methods in the early-stage diagnosis and remineralization assessment of enamel carious lesions created using a microbial model.""
Bozkurt, who worked as a specialist dentist at Bayındır Dental Clinics between 2005 and 2006, began working as a faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 to pursue academic work, and was appointed Assistant Professor in 2009. Bozkurt began working at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Dentistry in 2011, attaining the rank of Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2022.
Prof. Funda Öztürk Bozkurt is a member of the Turkish Dental Association (TDB), the Society of Restorative Dentistry (RDD), and the European Organisation for Caries Research (ORCA).
Bozkurt, who has authored 39 publications (research articles, case reports, and reviews) in national and international peer-reviewed journals, has served as a principal investigator in numerous clinical studies. Additionally, she has presented more than 45 papers at national and international congresses.
