Prof. Dr. HÜSEYİN ÖZ

Prof. Hüseyin ÖZ, MD was born in İnegöl / Bursa in 1953. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1978. He continued the residency he began in 1978 at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine after a year and a half, and became an Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist in 1982. He completed his military service at Kayseri Military Hospital between 1983 and 1984, immediately followed by his compulsory service at the Ministry of Health Zeynep Kamil Hospital between 1985 and 1987, and in 1987 he began working as Chief Resident at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He became an Associate Professor in 1990 and a Professor in 1996. He worked at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine until 2012, when he retired, and in the same year began working at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, where he continues to serve.

 On the board of directors of the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, he served as General Secretary for one term and as a Board Member for two terms. He also served as President of the Turkish Society of Intensive Care for one term and as a Board Member for one term. He is also a Founding Member of the Society of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Anesthesia and Intensive Care, where he served at various times as Board Member and General Secretary, and as Editor of the Society's Journal for approximately 19 years.

 At the Council of Forensic Medicine of the Ministry of Justice, he began serving as Rapporteur of the 1st Board in 2003, continued as a Full Member of the 1st Board between 2006 and 2019, and has been working as a Full Member of the 8th Board since 2019.

 Reflecting his academic knowledge and clinical experience in Anesthesia Practice and patient care in Intensive Care, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Öz provides up-to-date, scientifically based and quality healthcare while attaching importance to the training of Medical Students and Anesthesiology and Reanimation Residents; he also aims to contribute to the training of specialists working across the country by taking part in societies in his scientific field.
