Prof. Dr. MERYEM CAN

Prof. Meryem Can, MD was born in Çayeli in 1976. She completed her medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 2000.

 She completed her Internal Medicine specialization training at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital and received the title of Internal Medicine Specialist. She completed her specialization thesis with a study on ""The effect of strict glycemic and metabolic control on aortic stiffness in patients with Type 2 DM"".

 Following her specialization training, she completed her mandatory public service between 2006-2008 in different institutions in Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa and Istanbul.

 She completed her Rheumatology specialization training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and received the title of Rheumatology Specialist. She completed her specialization thesis with a study on ""Oral health in patients with rheumatoid arthritis"". She earned the title of Associate Professor in 2016 and Professor in 2021.

 Throughout her professional career; She has worked at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital, Şanlıurfa Balıklıgöl Hospital, Besni State Hospital, Kartal Koşoyolu High Specialization Hospital, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, and Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, and has continued her academic and clinical studies.

 She has improved her knowledge and experience in her field by participating in various training programs both domestically and/or internationally.

 She has participated as a speaker or attendee in numerous national and international congresses, courses, and scientific meetings. She has more than 40 scientific articles, and her work has received numerous citations in national and international literature.

 Combining the scientific expertise with current diagnostic and treatment methods, Prof. Can, MD aims to create a personalized diagnosis and treatment plans for each patient by evaluating them individually.
