Prof. Dr. OZAN BEYTEMÜR

Prof. Ozan Beytemür, MD earned his medical degree in 2002 after successfully completing his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa), one of Turkey’s most established medical schools. He completed his residency training in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2008 at Istanbul Bezmialem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital. He demonstrated his scientific expertise in the field by preparing his specialization thesis titled “Histopathological and Biomechanical Evaluation of the Effects of Quinolone-Group Antibiotics on the Achilles Tendon in Adult Rats.”

Following his residency, he fulfilled his mandatory state service at Şırnak State Hospital between 2009 and 2010. From 2010 to 2017, he served as an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital.

Dr. Beytemür attained the academic rank of Associate Professor in 2018 and continued his advanced surgical and academic activities at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital until 2023. In 2023, he joined the faculty of the University of Health Sciences and attained the title of Professor. Additionally, he served as Chief Physician at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital between 2021 and 2024.

Since 2024, he has been serving as the Medical Director and an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist at Medipol Bahçelievler University Hospital. Prof. Ozan Beytemür, MD possesses extensive expertise across a broad range of specialized areas within orthopedics and traumatology. He provides advanced surgical solutions, particularly in the field of orthopedic oncology, addressing conditions ranging from pediatric bone cysts and tumors to the surgical treatment of complex bone and soft-tissue cancers and bone metastases.

With a particular focus on arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery) within reconstructive surgery, Dr. Beytemür successfully performs modern joint replacement procedures for osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, and shoulder. He also performs arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder and applies minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of sports-related injuries. In addition, he has extensive clinical experience in foot and ankle surgery, trauma surgery, and pediatric orthopedics.

With a comprehensive body of scientific work published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, Prof. Dr. Beytemür combines his academic knowledge with years of clinical experience to provide his patients with up-to-date, evidence-based, and high-quality healthcare services.
