Highlights
Prof.Tolga Kandoğan MD was born in İzmir in 1967. After İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School (German Section) and Ege University Faculty of Medicine, he completed his specialty training at the Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Clinic of Ege University Faculty of Medicine, the faculty from which he graduated.
He worked at the Health Practice and Research Centers of University of Health Sciences Tepecik Training and Research Hospital and İzmir Training and Research Hospital between 2000 and 2018.
For training, he spent various periods at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), the University of Greifswald (Germany), the University of Bern (Switzerland), the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and Heidelberg University (Germany) and Dryburn Hospital (England).
In the United States, he earned the right to receive medical education, work as a physician and obtain a visa in that country under Public Law 94-484. ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)
He won second prize in the Aegean Region in the Inter-High School Mathematics and Physics competitions organized by TÜBİTAK.
He holds da Vinci® Si Modules for Surgeons. Robotic Surgery Certification. (Use in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery)
He is a member of the Head and Neck Oncology Council of Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, the Pediatric Aerodigestive Council of Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, the Adult Aerodigestive Council of Medipol University Faculty of Medicine and the Respiratory Disorders and OSAS Council of Medipol University Faculty of Medicine.
He has served on the Organizing Committee of many Congresses and Symposia, and has also organized the International Symposium on Difficult Airway and Laryngotracheal Stenosis Surgery 5 times and served as its Conference President.
He has memberships in numerous National and International Scientific Organizations , serves as advisor and editor for National and International Journals, and has participated in national and international Panels, Conferences and Congresses. He has authored 2 international and many national Book Chapters. He has numerous national and international articles.
He has a very good command of German and English.
