Dr. Burak Berber is an experienced psychiatrist providing services in the field of mental health and psychiatric disorders, with extensive clinical and academic experience. In his clinical practice, he takes a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment, considering biological, psychological, and social factors together.
Born in İzmir, Dr. Burak Berber graduated from the Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1997. He completed his specialty training at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital and received the title of Specialist in Mental Health and Psychiatric Disorders in 1998.
Over the course of his career, he has been actively working for more than 25 years in both outpatient clinics and inpatient units, during which he has evaluated, treated, and provided long-term follow-up for over 100,000 psychiatric diagnoses. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychiatric issues in the elderly.
Dr. Berber has also played an active role in academia for many years, teaching Psychopathology and Symbolism at Istanbul Kültür University, aiming to combine clinical experience with theoretical knowledge to train students effectively.
His professional work primarily focuses on neuropsychiatry, neuromodulation, psychopharmacology, geriatric psychiatry, and dynamic psychotherapy based on analytical psychology.
Since November 2024, Dr. Burak Berber has been working at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital, developing individualized treatment plans based on the latest scientific evidence and patient-specific needs.
