Spec. Dr. (Specialist Dr.) DİLVİN ÇELİK ATEŞ

"Specialist Dr. Dilvin Çelik Ateş was born in Manisa in 1975. She completed her medical education at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She completed her pediatrics residency at İnönü University Faculty of Medicine Turgut Özal Training and Research Hospital in 2007 and received the title of Pediatrics Specialist. Before her specialty training, she performed her compulsory service at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 1999 and 2001, and then turned to the field of Pediatrics. She prepared her specialty thesis titled ""The Relationship of Autoimmunity with Hb A1c in Patients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus"" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayşehan Akıncı.

After her specialization, she performed her compulsory service as a Pediatrics Specialist at Malatya Training and Research Hospital between 2007 and 2014. Through the Medical Subspecialty Training Entrance Examination, she began her subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Department of Pediatrics of İnönü University Faculty of Medicine Turgut Özal Training and Research Hospital in 2015. She completed her subspecialty rotation at the Division of Pediatric Oncology of Ankara University in 2017-2018. During this period, she took part in a Phase III study evaluating Ibrutinib in Pediatric and Young Adult Patients with Relapsed/Refractory Mature B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. After successfully passing her examination and completing her Pediatric Hematology and Oncology specialization, she began her compulsory service at Malatya Training and Research Hospital in 2018. Between 2019 and 2020, she completed her rotation at the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit of İnönü University Faculty of Medicine Turgut Özal Training and Research Hospital. Between 2019 and 2021, she worked as a physician lecturer in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at İnönü University Faculty of Medicine Turgut Özal Training and Research Hospital. During this period, she established the Pediatric Oncology ward and planned and administered the treatment of many patients. During this time, she took part with a Nasopharyngeal CA patient in the Study on the Use of Sodium Thiosulfate for the Prevention of Cisplatin-Induced Ototoxicity in Children with Localized Non-Metastatic Solid Tumors.

In the post-specialization period, she worked as deputy clinical chief in the autologous, allogeneic and haploidentical bone marrow transplantation process at the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Center. She worked hands-on in the bone marrow harvesting and infusion process. Between 2021 and 2023, she worked in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of Bezmialem University Faculty of Medicine. She is still continuing the doctoral (PhD) program in ‘’Supportive treatment and care of cancer patients’’ that she began in 2021 at the Institute of Oncology of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2023 and 2024, she served as a physician lecturer at Demiroğlu Bilim University and worked at Florence Nightingale Hospital.

She is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Oncology Group, the Turkish Pediatric Hematology Association, the Turkish Society of Hematology and the Istanbul Medical Chamber.
