Spec. Dr. (Specialist Dr.) SERPİL ÇELİK

Serpil Çelik was born in Tercan in 1982. She completed her medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2006 and her specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, earning the title of Specialist Doctor. Her specialization thesis was on ‘Validity and Reliability Evaluation of the CP-QOL Teen Questionnaire in Adolescents with Cerebral Palsy’.

 After completing her specialization, she fulfilled her compulsory service obligation at Çankırı State Hospital.

 Having worked in public and various private healthcare institutions, she has had the opportunity to work with different patient groups. She currently continues her active work as a specialist physician and is also pursuing her education as a 4th-year student at the German Osteopathy School. In this context, she integrates manual medicine and holistic treatment approaches into her professional practice..

 In addition to her clinical experience in public and private healthcare institutions, she has gained experience working with different patient groups in stroke centers, sports health centers, and similar multidisciplinary rehabilitation units. She adopts evidence-based medicine principles in diagnosis and treatment processes and applies diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in line with current literature. Her professional areas of interest are stated to be musculoskeletal diseases, ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, and chronic pain treatment.

 In line with her commitment to professional development, she has participated in various national and international congresses and scientific meetings. Her motivation for pursuing an academic career is stated to be shaped by the desire to share her clinical knowledge and experience, contribute to scientific research, and support her clinical practice with academic work.

 She passed the Turkish Board exam in 2012 and the European Board exam in 2013. 

 She currently continues her work in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation branch at Medipol Bahçelievler University Hospital.

• She has presented oral and poster presentations at numerous national and international congresses and has published her scientific studies in various academic platforms.She continues her clinical and academic work and actively contributes to scientific research and publication activities. She contributed to the "Fundamentals of Cancer Rehabilitation" chapter in the book "Palliative Care and End-of-Life Support in Oncology". She contributed to the chapter "Aerobic and Resistance Exercises in Lipedema Treatment" in the book titled "Lipodema Rehabilitation.
