Dr. Ümit Saylık was born in Siirt in December 1987. The doctor completed medical education at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 2013 and completed Neurology specialization training at the Department of Neurology, Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, University of Health Sciences in 2021, receiving the title of Neurology Specialist. The specialization thesis was conducted on the topic of “The Relationship Between Stroke Volume and Homocysteine Levels.”
After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in 2013, the doctor worked for a total of 4 years in Emergency Services, 112 Command and Control Center, and Family Medicine. The doctor completed Neurology residency training at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, University of Health Sciences in 2017. Following specialization, the doctor completed mandatory service as a Neurology Specialist at Batman Training and Research Hospitals.
Subsequently, in 2023, the doctor started working as a Neurology Specialist at Antalya Manavgat Private Akdeniz Hospital. After approximately 3 years, in 2026, the doctor joined Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) and continues to work there.
Since most of the hospitals where the doctor has worked are stroke centers, Dr. Saylık has extensive experience in stroke treatment and is proficient in thrombolytic therapy, thrombectomy, and secondary stroke prevention. The doctor also has significant experience in the management of epilepsy patients, as well as EEG and EMG examinations, including needle EMG.
The clinic provides headache treatments including nerve block procedures and Botox applications, with a patient-centered, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary approach.
Dr. Saylık currently works at Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital and continues to develop expertise in movement disorders. The doctor is interested in advanced treatment approaches such as pacemaker programming, MRgFUS, and DBS. In addition to movement disorders, the doctor is also interested in dementia and cognitive disorders.
