Spec. Dr. (Specialist Dr.) ZEYNEP ZORLU

She was born in Bursa in 1989. She completed her primary and secondary education in Bursa. In 2012, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Eskişehir Osmangazi University.

After graduation, she received specialist training for two years in the Department of Internal Medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. In 2015, she transferred to the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa), where she continued her residency training and earned the title of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in 2021.

She completed her specialization thesis titled “Psychopathology, Trauma, and the Frequency and Relationship of Dissociation in Children of Parents Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Type 1.” She is also the author of a book chapter on Mood Stabilizers in Children and Adolescents.

After completing her specialization, she fulfilled her compulsory service for two years at Aydın Maternity and Children’s Hospital. During this period, she also served as the responsible physician of the Child Monitoring Center. She subsequently worked at Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital.

Since 2024, she has been working as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital.

In the evaluation and treatment process, our physician adopts a holistic approach tailored to the age and needs of the child or adolescent, incorporating psychoeducation, family interviews, and pharmacological treatment when necessary. She also emphasizes preventive mental health practices, particularly the importance of early awareness and support.
