The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a specialized hospital unit with technological infrastructure and expert teams, created for babies who need close monitoring, special support, and advanced medical care in the first days after birth.

Unlike standard infant care areas, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is designed for situations requiring continuous monitoring. In this unit, the babies' respiration, heart rate, oxygen level, body temperature, and other vital signs are continuously monitored. Thanks to advanced medical devices, the babies' condition is assessed instantly, and the support they need is provided immediately. This approach allows for the monitoring of newborns, especially those in sensitive and high-risk situations, in a safe environment.

The care provided in the unit is not limited to device support. There is a multifaceted monitoring process carried out by neonatologists, child health teams, and experienced nurses. When necessary, specialists from different branches are also included in the process to evaluate the baby's condition with a holistic approach. In this way, a care plan specific to the needs of each newborn is created.

The Neonatal Care Unit is divided into different care areas according to the clinical condition of the babies. These areas are planned in accordance with the level of care each baby needs:

Thanks to these devices, direct imaging procedures can be performed at the bedside without removing infants from their incubators, and the rapid diagnostic process is supported. The laboratory and real-time biochemical assessment technology is the capillary blood gas analyzer.

This device allows for the continuous 24-hour measurement of important biochemical parameters such as blood gas, bilirubin, sodium, potassium, calcium, and creatinine, using only a small amount of heel blood taken from infants.
